Molecular Diagnostic
As most viruses and other pathogens mutate there is a constant upgrading of the tests to cover new and region specific variants of the pathogens including new mutants / variants whose sequence is deposited in worldwide DNA databases. This constant upgrade significantly decreases the risk of false negative tests and improves diagnostic accuracy. Molecular diagnostic tests are currently available in two broad diagnostic categories:

In the arena of molecular genetics and biomarkers we currently offer a number of tests including: mutation detection for nephrotic syndrome gene NPHS2 (podocin); methylation specific PCR for MGMT gene and bcr-abl quantitation.
